Our History

In May 1992, God called Pastor Mark Sostarich to plant Louetta Road Baptist Church in Spring, Texas. Pastor Mark, his family, and a few founding members began meeting in homes for prayer and fellowship. By August, a property and building were provided, and the church grew steadily.

On April 9, 1995, the church officially became an established body with the adoption of its constitution. Later that year, an auditorium was built to accommodate the growing congregation.
January of 2016, Our founding pastor, Brother Mark was called home to be with his Lord and Savior, leaving our church in search of new leadership. The transition was difficult, but we knew that God was with us every step of the way.

In late 1995, Joey Galloway joined the church, and answered God’s call to ministry. Joey became the youth leader and later pastored other churches before returning to Louetta Road Baptist Church as senior pastor in August 2017.

Matthew Sostarich, Pastor Mark’s son, served as associate pastor, strengthening the church’s music ministry. In spring 2024, Matthew followed God's call to plant a church in Montgomery, Texas, continuing his family’s legacy of ministry.

Since then, God has worked powerfully in our church, guiding us in faith and service to the community. Louetta Road Baptist Church stands as a testament to God’s faithfulness, and we eagerly anticipate what He has planned for the future.

As we reflect on the journey of Louetta Road Baptist Church, we are reminded of the powerful role faith, leadership, and God's timing have played in our story. We are grateful for the foundation laid by our founding pastor, Pastor Mark, and the continued leadership of Pastor Joey. It is through their obedience to God's calling that we have seen our church flourish and grow.

We invite you to join us as we continue this journey of faith and growth, impacting lives and sharing the love of Christ with our community.
